Most car alarm/audio installation places will have them- search the internet for solenoids

They make them for K9 units that acutally swing the door wide open... they're pretty neat.

Heavy duty springs will take care of that easily. I installed mine inside the door so everything looks factory from the outside and in door jams. Mine swings half way open. I found that in most parking lots, you cant have it swing all the way open b/c it'll hit the car next to you. half way open is the sweet spot.

heh I remember a few years ago when I was in college they didnt have desinated parking spaces, only desinated parking roles. there's a strip of pant on the ground and that's how you park. I remember I would squeeze between cars and get out through the trunk.

I have a firebird... I wouldn't matter if a car parked 15 ft from me. Those doors are so long that it's impossible to get out of if you park next to someone. I'm a thin guy, and even I have trouble. I end up just popping the top off and jumping out. I originally planed to have the doors open like a diablo, but that's just wasted money and it would look stupid.

LOL Mag... I feel your pain. At work I park in the farthest spot right, so I have the most door swing left...
