Guess not sorry.
Has anybody got any clues about Mits' proprietary I/O? They have no AUX in. It's digital bitstream I assume. Is there a chip that exists that could be breadboarded etc?
TIA

Edit: Or maybe it is me that misunderstood your question, are you talking about trying to use the in dash LCD that came with your volvo (and it is Mitsu made) for a car pc ?
sounds to me like he's trying to get around using the AUX in to his head unit.

MY 97 MONTER JUST BLEW ITS SECOND ENGINE IN ONE YEAR AND MY PARENTS 2002 MONTERO'S TRANSMISSION CAUGHT ON FIRE AND NOW THE CAR IS TOTALED MINE UNFORTUNATLY WASN'T UNDER WARRANTY THEIRS IS. Anyway I plan to show some pictures of my carputer mounted in my yard ornament(mitsubishi montero) soon and I will have a website up in a week. I love to work with itx boards and cars I wonder why they are not mainstream. Other than that good like trying to do anything computer related to the mitsubishi mines so stupid every sparkplug has a computer on it I mean c'mon is all that technology neccasary. I plan to buy a 65-67 ford Mustang and update it. All 1999 lincoln parts inside and engine and I will build a carputer into it now that is a project. STAY AWAY FROM MITSUBISHI

My friends 2003 Jeep Wranger's transmission dropped out him 6 times and the engine blew.
Mitsu and Dodge are both owned by Chrysler. Doesn't surprise me much.
yeah but daimler-benz was supposed to improve quality I guess they forgot
I had 93 Montero for 5 years. I sold it when it had 199,956 miles on it. It was still running and running good. I now have 2001 Montero and I love it. I guess, it all comes down to the gasket between the steering wheel and the driver's seat.
