    Gentleman... Start your IC software!

    After browsing slashdot.com tonight I found a cute little story that could come in handy for us road warriors.
    Could be cheaply built with an array of IR LEDS.. 10 or 14hz is the key here.

    Thoughts? I know I want one.. However I'm not sure if I should even attempt to use one. Perhaps a prototype for a one time (late night) test. Just to see if it's possible.

    i don't understand how people think devices like these would make things any better if the general public owned them?

    maybe i'm underestimating how important some of you are ... i'm sure the world would stop if you had to wait your turn at a red light.

    I have one question. When it sends the signal, only the lights in front of you recieve it? Cuz if not, all the lights will be of the same color...

    It's IR, which is directional. So the light it's pointing at recieves it, then the traffic light box changes that to green and the others to red.
