How To transfer files to the carputer?

I transfered all my files by hooking my car-puters hdd to my in home computer as a slave. To add data I use a 700mb cd-rw is there a better way to transfer data or is this the one everyone is using. I want to easily transfer new downloaded movies to my carputer but I was kinda just looking to see what every one else does.

Or use CAT5, it can go up to 100yards before comprimising data, so I'm pretty sure you'll be able to run it from your house to your driveway without worrying about the wire being too long.

you could get a 2.5" hard drive and a USB case.
You can get cases that fit in your pocket,
there are also hot-swappable, takes power fron USB port.

4gig+ 2.5 Laptop drives are very cheep now.
pick up a second hand one.

    Edit:
    Something like this:

I also like the second hand 2.5" usb hard drives I think I'm going to buy one frome ebay. I am going to install a ethernet jack in my garage with a cable' so I can set up a network with my other computers. I am actually typing this on my carputer. I need to get a vga screen 'cause this is blurry and a strain on my eyes. I guess it ain't that bad The reception on my projection screen tv in my house is even worse but its at least bigger. Thanx for the input guys.

i have a usb 2.0 750 mb. zip drive. It's nice, haven't used it for this purpose, but i'm sure it'd be fast, seeing as i transferred 100mb video in about 10 seconds, then played it back smoothly off the disk. Cavaliers 2002 video. (I dunno if anyone knows what that is)
