No one wants to listen to the same stuff over and over

So do you guys go between radio and MP3s or do you just have insane amounts of music?
how long are you in your car each day?

i'd think that by the time i finished listening to that 147 hours ... it'd take a few months and i'd be ok with starting over.

no to mention i get new cds/music at least once every other month. (i'm picky)

i just put most of my collection to mp3 ... only about 8 gigs worth ... it's not all stuff i'd listen to regularly anyway.

I use a player called RandomMP3. It starts at a random place in a given folder (drive) and avoids playing the same song before all have played by keeping track of what it has already played.

I have a 20 gig drive about 75% full of jazz and another 20 gig drive 90% full with other music. I keep the unused drive in my glove box. If I want to go from one kind of music to another, I just switch drives.

The computer boots and starts playing music without repeating. That's how I like it. I understand that most people will want to select what they want to hear. I like every mp3 on both drives, so random works for me.

depending on your setup loading an mp3 will be as easy as listening to the radio, and you get to listen to your own music that you like rather than some egotistical wanker talking or adverts

Ive got 17665 as of today, ill probally add a few more tonight (ive bought alot legally from www.allofmp3.com:) ) IM thinking of using itunes with 'smart' playlists as ive rated alot of music by now (maybe 4000) and then shuffle for when I feel random.

I'll be using Winamp and will be using its built in "jump" function...hit "j' on the keyboard and usually the first five or so letters of a song is all it needs to find a given song. My playlist is about 1300 songs.

I have 2 songs and i listen to them over and over and over again until my head explodes and guts spill out. /sick and twisted

When did this thread get hijacked into an "I've got the biggest MP3 collection" thread?

But really i have about 5 gigs of MP3's (it is harder to find Christian Music) and i never get board with it. Radio is good for quick trips to the store where you will be in the car for only 5 minutes the rest MP3's work
