Will this wifi card work with antenna?

Hey all, I found this USB adapter on Ebay

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...EBWA%3AIT&rd=1

and I want to see if any of you know if this has the PCMCIA inside that I can hook a pigtail up to (just looks like an older model to me).

    Thanks

orinoco does make some of the best wireless cards, especially pcmcia, but besides the point, I bet that would be a nice card. My only comment against it is I tried the microsoft wireless usb card(first one I ever tried) and it didn't pick up any networks, and even on my router it was really slow. I'm just curious, do you know if its b or g?

Bluetooth has a very limited range, it might not reach very far out of the car. You would have much better luck with some variety of 802.11, like the Orinoco posted above (802.11b.)

I would have to agree with none you could pretty easily run an ad-hoc wireless network(peer to peer, no router). the wireless cards are getting pretty cheap and it would probably be faster as well

yeah wireless is slow and bluetooth is even slower. Stick with 54g wireless else it will be to slow to use.

wireless b is alright, I've been using that for my carcomputer without problems, we also have a b card on the entertainment pc. while it is nice to have g, getting along with just b is doable
