    Which One?

    Im looking at MP3 players, totally agianst ipods. Between the Archos gmini 120 and the iriver ihp 120, which one?

    Spend the money and definitely go for the Zen NX or Zen Xtra. I have a 3rd generation ipod and got my girlfriend the Zen NX. The Zen sounds way better and has a riduculous battery time. Not to mention that it (20gb version) cost about half as much as the ipod.

    iriver or gmini

    ive looked at the zen, its already been off the list, its between the archos gmini and the iriver, and those two only, any advice on those two would be appreciated, thanks.

    If you want good advice on this, you should explain the reasons why the Zen is off the list. The Zen NX is the one I'm going to buy.

    Archos is clunky, zen has a smooth interface. And as mentioned, good battery life, affordable, and good quality sound. If you're dead set against the ipod, which is a shame, then i would go zen. ARCHOS... it's just too... icky. I dunno, I didn't find it's interface to be very good, but i don't know anything about the other one.
