more work done today. I took an 80mm fan and duct taped both the intake and exhaust ducts to it:

Airflow was was stronger than I had expected, being that as I was testing it each duct was about 3 feet long

I put the computer on 2 blocks of wood in order to get the right height for the ductwork. I attached some carpet to the top of the wood blocks for 2 reasons. First, it will give me a little shock protection. Second, I have some hook-side strips of velcro on the bottom of the case. The velcro on carpet solution has worked well for me for years.
Here is what it looks like with the computer, fan, and ducks:

Out of curiosity, did you put any filters in the intake & exhaust ports?
No Carputer YET.
A car I'm designing...
I'm Thinking of doing the exact same project on my car. Where did you get those vents and mounts from?
And how are you keeping out condensation?
Would just some sort of a filter or almost window screen work?
..curious on how you plan on not killing your self with that carbon-monoxide coming out right next to your vents
