only 20 pounds for the opus? jeez.. i wish it was that cheap![]()
Anyone seen this?
It seems to make out that it's some special revolutionary product, and some of the claims made aren't strickly true.
The kit they sell though just looks like most people's average setup or planned setup though...
'Retail' on the site is £1750,
Same/similar PC kit from Mini-ITX.com ...
£519 assuming Epia MII, same case, 512MB, 40GB 2.5HDD, Wlan, XP Home license DVD drvie etc
+£100 for GPS mouse
+£20 for USB KB
+£220 for lilliput touchscreen
+£20 for Opus 90W
+£50 for custom volume control (i.e. custom built + profit margin)
+£250 for something like Navigator/MapPoint
==£1179
Those are all retail prices, so even with an extra 5% for the hell of it...
==£1238
and add £50 for the trouble of building it, and that's still £400 over the odds!!!
so guessing that the retail prices I've put down all have 20% on top (as well as the VAT), thats a profit of over £800 per system!
