Grounding, grounding, grounding. I wouldn't be surprised if the ground jack on your outlet isn't connected to anything.
Hey guys,
My computer at home, I thought it would be nice to hook it up to my entertainment system and watch some movies and listen to some tunes. When I did this I was getting a slight buzz through the stereo speakers. Anyway I can fix this, I moved the cable away from the power lines as much as possible, I also tried a different computer. Has anyone ever been able to acheive buzz free?
if so how?
Thanks!

I run it through my computer speakers and don't hear buzz.Originally Posted by Gutter

i had that happen a few years back. what i did was to try one of those gray ground adapters on a different plug until the buzz goes away. i was getting a ground loop through the cable signal coming into the house for the tv. in my case it worked on my vcr. or just hook up one piece at a time to see where its coming from. start with the computer and the receiver.
