    Audio problems

i know there are numerous threads on this topic, but i am having issues with my audio. i would assume it is due to grounding, but everything shares a common ground, although now i am reading some people say have different grounds, so now i dont know. here is my setup, i have a itps to a pw70-a, a via epia800, i am using an fm modulator to get the audio, but there is buzz, sometimes it is hard drive noise, sometimes it can be a little engine noise. i have tried just about everything. also i have an mp3 player and when i use it there is no buzz, please help!! i have tried everything i could think of, i tried a noise filter too and that didnt work either, any help would be much appreciated

I have the same problem. I can hear the HD spin up/down, seek, and even moving windows around. I'm pretty sure it's because the PC sound card outputs 5 watts per channel, which is much higher than a head unit, and the amps really aren't designed for that. If you have a gain on your amp(s) try turning it down. Noise suppressors will do absolutely nothing.

    turn your gains down

make sure your fm modulater is not grounded at the same point as head unit and/or amps and/or computer. the modulater should have it's own ground because these things can easily pick up interference

if possible run a ground from the computer chasis to the car chasis as well

if none of this helps tell what your set up is and we can try some more stuff out.

seperate your grounds, as your are going to create a ground loop if you do not.
