Wow Premio I used to sell those computers. I guess you have a Netstation II then. Nice little thing. Good luck with it.

There may be a BIOS option to automatically power on. If not, a small timer circuit can be made to trigger a relay to momentarily close the main power switch contacts.

What if you jump the switch in the PC to always be on? Find the 2 wires that that coonect to the switch and hook them together without the switch.

Its really easy, I promise, you just have to find the switch that is in the box allready ( assuming there is one) cut the switch off, attach 2 wires, and run them up the dash. its just a switch so it dosent matter what way you hook up the wires ( you cant hook up a 2 pole switch backwards)
I'm not sure cuz I cant see it, but the switch sounds like its low voltage / amperage, so a small 18-22 gauge wire will do.
I made a cute little box for my setup that has power switch, reset, power led, and hd activity led. It has male / female db9 connectors and runs over a peice of cat 5 to the dirver console. They are really easy to hook up, you just have to find the place on the mboard where the little lights normaly plug in, and hook up longer wires.
I would be hapy to make you a box with the connectors and buttons. ( I doubt the whole thing costs more than 10 bucks with all the connectors) but you would still need to be able to attach the one end to the pc....
I have some pics and info of mine, I will try and post it, I gota get the page up there..
Aaron : Timer, relay, circuit !? I missed something, unless mc is looking to hook it to the ignition for auto turn on.... I don't really see why he would need anny of that.
You might want to add a quick connect feature to that as well if you need to pull the box out to load files or for maintenance.
