Well, I bought a female cigarette lighter plug and wired it into the trunk. You could buy some plugs and make a new cord or buy an extention.
Is there a way I can extend the cord that goes from the inverter to the cigarette lighter? Right now that is how my computer is powered. Is there a better way? Without being to technical.......

Uh, just cut the wire and add the length you need. Make sure not to mix up the connections. Or by a cigarrette lighter extension cord.

just a suggestion. lower the gauge of wire that you are going to use just as a fail safe. such as my inverter is 16 gauge and im using 14 gauge to extend it to the fuse panel.
Yeah, I agree- lower gauge ( = thicker wire) and just make sure you get the red to red and black to black, you could cut the wire or use a pre-made cigarett enterder
Where can I get a cigarette adapter extension cord?
