Since the audio forum has vanished, and this would have been posted there, I have also posted on dedicated car sound forums but those guys are whacked and the answers didnt make sense to me..they claim the low frequencies etc are not direction dependent (whilst true, why should the sound travel backwards before going forwards to me ? surely there is a loss of performance if they fire backwards ?), and the dedicated car audio guys it all about looks looks looks seem more important than practicality and USE, I want to hear them.
I have two 10 inch subs in a box, now I can place this box in my trunk in four ways, the first is facing forwards to the rear seats, (which flip down if needed) then I can place it with the subs facing into the trunk all with the subs at a 90 deg angle ie perpendicular to the trunk fllor, or with the subs aimed up at about a 30deg angle either into the trunk or into the cabin.
The problem is once I begin my install I cant just decide to reposition the subs as the box forms part of my install for other components, please let me have your comments on the best way to position the subs ?
