WWas Cutting a case for my 40x4 LCD screen and got a boo-boo. A 4 stitched boo-boo. Also lost a chunk of my thumb. Using an Exacto Knife it slipped and cut through my thumb and into the webbing in between my thumb & forefinger. The moral to this tale told many times by different story-tellers is to becareful w/ sharp objects!!!

We had a topic about personal damages obtained either purely from mp3 projects, but other projects as well.
Some very impressive types of damage (i have mananged to solder my self on my nose, was pressing towards my own face and the solder slipped an hit me on my nose hurt a lot but i have no means of it anymore, had a very reed nose for a while).
must be about hm, 3-6 months ago we did that topic.
Good luck with your finger
I remember that topic. A search on "injury" should turn it up...
I think I have you beat though... I cut my thumb off with a pop can.

"If one more body-kitted, cut-spring-lowered, farty-exhausted Civic revs on me at an intersection, I swear I'm going to get out of my car and cram their ridiculous double-decker aluminium wing firmly up their rump."
I was drilling a home-brew PCB one time with a power hand drill (that was a mistake!) and the bit flexed, broke, and I drilled right through my index finger with the *broken* bit!Not fun!
Aaron - how in the world did you cut your thumb *off* with a soda can?
I have plenty of those -
I can attribute the following to my car:
Head / back aches from crawling around in strange positions to route wires.
Too many solder burns to count, hot glue burns are worse - gota peel them off.
and this didnt come from the car, but I too sliced my webing (btw thumb and fore finger) when my exacto knife sliped on a wire. I thought it was pretty grose, lucky my dad is a doctor, he stitched me right up.
