i want to make a computer install, but i want to know if any of you knows if the cdrom or harddisk skip when u drive and hit a bump?
if putted in the trunk, do you put any map or towel to make it less bouncy?

Search through the hardware section and you'll find lots of useful info on what's already been discussed with hardware and road vibration.

I'm still building my system, but just for kicks I tested out the vibration thing. While the machine was built in a normal case with no padding and playing a DVD via software, I picked up the machine and shook the ***** out of it to see what would happen. I expected the movie to skip or the machine to lock up, but niether happened. The PC continued to run perfectly. I think as long as you use good, name brand parts, and try to pad em a little, you will be pretty safe.
