Partition Magic
Hi all,
I have a 40G HD and I partitioned it C:\20G, D:\10G, E:\10G.
C:\ is for XP and progs, D:\ for mp3's and E:\ for divx.
You probably guessed it, my D:\ drive is full and E:\ has loads of space. Can I repartition this into 2 drives (C:\20G and D:\20G) without having to reinstall or copy mp3's. I don't mind to lose all that is on E:.
Or is there another way to read 2 drives by Mediacar?
Thanks, Michael

You can also modify partitions just by using XPs drive tools
you can, but i'm pretty sure it wipes the data if you do it through xp disk manager, whereas partition magic will keep all the data.

Partition Magic, hmm.
Doesn't sound like a freeware app.
I'll try moving some partitions around
with XP drive tools on the home pc first.

Yes Partition Magic is the only real way to do it. It may take a while for it to move the stuff around, but it will save the headache of moving the stuff around using another computer.
Also, be sure to back up your data first. :-)

So I used Partition Magic, everything turned out right.
Had to drive around for an hour while P Magic was shuffling files around, because I was scared to run out of power. Also careful to avoid the bumpy bits, didn't want to skip on the HD when merging partitions. I have plenty of room now for more mp3's.
