GPS to cell phone output somehow ???

ah, how about this...

When you start your car (your CarPC comes out of standby) and you are presented with a number keypad. You enter a 4 digit code. If you don't enter the code or you enter it wrong 3 times, it sends sms messages with the coridinates every 1 minute. That would be notification almost immediatly to tell you that your car has been stollen, and secondly would enable you to track it. If using somethink like VOICES, you could even have the current street and heading etc sent very easily.

Standby / Hibenation.... It's easy for a piece of software to detect that's it's come out of hibenation or standby....

Those interested in safety will find TrakM8's speeding and acceleration monitoring functions extremely useful, sending you a text message (or TrakM8 PC Kit alert) if the vehicle is been driven above a certain speed or if it is accelerating very quickly - a must for parents who allow their children to use the family car.

I am very interested in this idea too. It seems kinda simple if someone has they programming know-how.

I would like to help, but I'm not a programmer.

I have some ideas on how to accomplish this, but they are only "in theory"
