i can definetly tell the difference between a flac'd file and an mp3 on my car stereo. if you were running mid-to-high-end set up you can hear the difference... I know that for fact.
ok, so this probably doesnt go in this forum, i am running a m10000 w/ an mx4000 video, 3.5" hdd, slim-slot load dvd on my opus... would i be able to add another 3.5" drive and be ok power wise??

i guess i dont understand 100% variable bit rate...
Has anyone checked out the Apple loseless format in iTunes? The files end up being smaller than WAV or other loseless files. While the AAC format is proprietary to Apple, it's quite easy to convert to another (lossy or loseless) format if need be.
