    Lyra A/v

    my wife got me one of this things,and it kicks ***.
    I'm planning to built a sys. around one.
    Any help would b great.This unit can play
    mp3s,divx and work has a portable hard drive.
    I live in NewYork so I travel a lot by train and the Lyra JukeBox
    is just to cool.
    Just got a car 97 Galant so I want to be able to use it in the car.
    At one time I had 17 movies and 900 mp3s.

    I have seen these things, they are pretty cool compared to the iPod which is really not all that great. Not sure how I would be able to help you with installing this in your car... does it have AV outputs? im too lazy to read.

    Sorry I haven't given more info,was on vacation.
    2 answer your questionYes it does it can also record from
    any composet sorce.I just got a car and I'm in the
    process of taking pictures and preparing the car for the install.
    got 2 go.

    Sizing everything up. Inisuel sys.

    7.2 flip down monitor tuner with 2 video inputs,TV and reverse wire hookup.

    Kenwood 8017 mp3 cd radio and changer wire aux.

    3 bloupunk amp for a total of 500 to 700watts.


    2 infinity 6/9 spea.

    2 polk tweeters

    2 4 inch plye coaxias

    2 51/4 mb quats

    On the sub I have 2 banbass boxes are 2 amplify ported boxes havein't
    decided wich ones to use.

    And of course the lyra.


    But today a computer store by my job is going out of buiness and I got
    a chance to get a great buy shutle sn61g with a 2.4 P4 , 40gig laptop
    hard drive ,a external dvd drive and card reader for 350.00.

    What to do know?

    why get the lyra? the archos av300 series or av400 series are better products as it is available in higher capcities and is easily upgradable with larger hard drives, batteries, camera etc.

    easy interface and they have updated the firmware.
    I have had 17 movies at one point and room left.
    but not sure maybe...can't make up my mind.
    lyra or computer.

    Everytime I go to CompUSA and look at the archos it has an orange screen and is not responsive. I asked the sales guy once and he said that they are always having to replace the display model. Also the overall fit and finish seems a bit on the cheap side IMHO.

    well a got just about everything I need.Undesided on wich power supply and vga.
    But I got all I need if I were to install the Lyra,if only there was a way to change the interface.
    maybe I should post for help
