I mounted mine on the back of my rear seat. I just screwed it and used rubber grommets to space it off and provide some shock protection.

I just finished building a small wood box/case thing for my computer to put in the trunk. The only thing I cannot figure out is how to easily secure the case to the trunk. I was looking for how others do this.

Yeah I did the same thing, I used some L brackets from the hardware store.
but how did you just screw it into the carpet/metal of the seat or floor?
The backs of my seats are some sort of wood covered in carpet, so I just used some wood screws.
I use velcro, much like this:

I thought about using velcro but my floor carpet is not very fuzzy. Well, guess that is my only real chice at the moment. any suggestions on where to get cheap large velcro strips?
Yeah, I'm looking for a way to mount my carputer in my car. My main problem is that I only bought my car 6 months ago (brand new) so I really don't want to go putting holes in the backs of my seats or anything like that.
I have had my car for a few years, it is a 99, and i still don't really want to drill holes but will if nothing else works after I try the velcro. Maybe i can try to pick some up after work but don't really know where to go.
binary.h4x, How have you attached your velcro to the car floor?
