you most likely have your video set to something out of range of the monitor. boot into vga mode or safe mode and set your resolution/refresh rate to somthing elese.
i have a computer that has no video when windows boots up.
The video card is fine, it works in the bios, and if i boot the computer to safe mode it works fine. It appears to possibly be a driver issue.
The stats on the machine
biostar m7ncg motherboard w/ everything onboard
amd 1700 xp
windows xp media center
I know the computer works fine, because im currently using it as a mp3 player for my car. I can boot into windows w/ no video and play the mp3s and such, i can control the computer w/ the matrix orbital display, just no video when i hook it up to a monitor.
any ideas as to what may be causing this? how would i go about replacing the driver if need be?
