    My project is CRAP

Im desperate. I have half instaled my proyect (Epia M10000 with PW80, 3,5" HD and Lilliput, car: Seat Cordoba year 2000) and I have lot of big big problems:

1 There is noise at the screen, waves, althought autoadjust, the image is not clean at all.

2 The touchscreen is not working in the car whereas in the house it was working using the same cable.

3 I only hear rear speakers in pc mode. With cd charger all is perfect.

4 I hear lot of noise, when Im stopped, and when I accelerate more. I hear also the music from cd charger far from, and the noise of booting when the pc is booting. All of these noises in the speakers.

5 When I start the engine running the pc, it stops and it does not start againg untill the fuse is unplaced and placed again (8A fuse to the fuse box and PW80 regulated fron 11V to 30V)

For the music, I had created an auxiliary input my self. I took the input pin from cd charger to the radio, I cutted the left and right cable, and carry them to a selector of 2 positions. To the other positions I put the sound from the pc (auxiliary), and the output of the selector is conected to the 2 cables cutted to the input of the radio. I have some picture if anybody needs it.
    Is here the problem????
The cables from the pc sound has ground connection, but the cables from the cd charger dont have it.

Im thinking of selling all the parts, PLEASE URGENT HELP NEEDED.

Right, firstly, your sound and screen "waves" are due to improper grounding, and/or running the PC/screen on unregulated power. Once you get your power sorted, and hook up the power of the screen to a regulated supply, it will be better.

Most of your problems are power related. The power supply can't take the voltage drop when you start the car, hence why it is crashing. You have a ground loop somewhere in your audio/computer setup which is causing the "whining" you get in relation to engine speed.

As for touchscreen issues, the Lilliput is fussy, but again it could be due to not having decent power.

Aux input i'm afraid I can't help you with, as I don't know exactly how you've done it, that's something you'll have to sort out for yourself

I believe that most of your problems are related to the poor voltage regulation performance of your PSU and to grounding issues.
The PSU you're using (in fact all the PW series) is known to not actually regulate the +12V line above 60W output, exposing your hardware to voltage flunctuations and interference introduced by your car's electrical system.
You should also note that the M10000 mobo has floating ground so you must ground your case to your car's chassis also.

    Hope this helps

    EDIT: Garry you're fast....

Yeah, I am with them on this one. Get your power issues sorted, and then a good number or your problem will disappear, and then you will actually feel like working on your project.

Thanks to booth for quick reply. Do you mean PW80 is not valid? and actually Im not using case, wheres the mobo ground?

Well, Im using the Lilliput cable power, with its regulation, connected to the cigarrette power, so on, the regulation is good, isnt it?

And for the PS, its also regulated, so the idea, the problem is the ground, may be, and also the power and sound cables too much near, is it right?

    Read this
Vendor A is actually the OPUS 150W
    Vendor B is PW200

The best grounding spot on the M10000 is the screw closest to the PS/2 connectors,

Hey Windalo, nice to hear you have already come so far! (don't give up now!)

    1. Seems you will need alot of grounding

    2. You will need to figure out if the aux-input is done right (mail me the picture)

For testing, use your parts seperately in the car. Link your lilliput to a laptop in your car and check the image quality (with the car running and off, to see if there is a difference). Link your aux input to a walkman/discman and check the sound....

I'm sure if you already have come so far, you will figure out how to get rid of these last troubles, just do some roubleshooting

Here is some bad pictures of the auxiliary imput created.

This is the pin connector in the radio. Cables number 19 and 20 were cutted and fixed to the switch (19 right line in sound from cd charger and 20 the left one)

This is the switch which let me created the auxiliary input.

And this is the result before placing it

1 May be the cables are too much closed together???
2 May be another problem is the ground output is placed to the same place than the power supply ground??
I remember sound problems, front speakers are not listened and there is lot of noise, also cd charger music noise, only noise in auxiliary position.

The best grounding spot on the M10000 is the screw closest to the PS/2 connectors
3 I understood I need to take a cable from one screw to the ground, dont I?
4 Im only using right now the mobo and the 3,5" HD and you are telling me may be the power is not enought??
