Post Begging for a Subdomain - Mac Site Gone Nuts

My site featuring the installation of a Macintosh PowerBook in a Pathfinder went nuts. I had over 20,000 unique hits in the first week. I have one offer already to have an article done in a car audio magazine. I need my subdomain on mp3car - how I can get this done?
I want to have the subdomain address in the magazine, not my personal IP address. All I want is a forwarding link. Moon - you out there??

If you would compress your pictures a little bit then the site wouldn't be so slow.

Tried it with a couple of pictures on your site, And some went from 65kb to 9kb with-out loss of quality.

Raas - thanks! I'm new at this web stuff, can ya tell? Anyway - I have reduced the file sizes considerably, and will be moving them to a faster server, thanks to mp3goesmobile.com

Seems like mp3car.com is dead, except these message boards.

    Cool

20,000 hits a week isn't really that bad. It's only 2857.14285714285714285714285714286 hits per day, which your cable modem should easily handle. Is it just too slow, or are there other issues?

He said he wanted a host name not a IP address as his website in the magazine..

You could always get a free dynamic host name such as hn.org... but the best part of hn.org is that they will allow you to dynamically point a domain name that you own to your IP, you just run a piece of software to update it every 10 minutes or so.. If your IP is static, pay the $15 at dotster.com and get the domain name and point it at your IP..

    Destin,

I think I am at fault. I was interviewed by the press in our tiny nation of 3M people. Your site was put up in the papers after my recommendation for a Mac MP3 car or AutoPC.

My nation here has 80% Internet penetration. I guess some crazy mad Mac geeks started bombarding your IP after last Wednesday.

BTW we get really cheap computer hardware here. Home of Creative SoundBlaster.

No problem Julian, traffic has slowed down a lot since then. I'm having no problems serving the site now. By the way, what paper was that? I'd like to see if I could find a copy. I just picked up a copy of "TimeOut New York" which mentions my site on page 166. Its neat to see it in print, so i'd like to see that paper you mentioned. The site has reached 43,000 unique visitors. http://24.7.157.64/home.html
