Need Help with carputer Windows installation

I've got two hard drives on my computer, one that I plan to take out and use for my carputer and the other to stay in. But, I want to install windows 98se or 2000lite perhaps on that hard drive before I take it out. How do you do this if you are currently running windows 2000 pro and want to only install the new version of windows on one hard drive?

You could disconnect the hard drive you want to keep, connect the one for the car puter and install it then transfer it to the car puter. Although I would suggest installing it from the car puter instead because of hardware differincialities windows may not like it too well.

As SouL-FoRTuNe said I would advise against installing Windows on a computer that it won't be running on. If you do this you will most likely have to end up reinstalling windows again when you get it into your carputer or repairing it. Differant hardware will screw it up.
