I had thought about that, not to display that kind of info though, I was thinking of using it to advertise services, like " DvD, tv, thousands of songs, Do you want one in your car , call xxx-xxx-xxx"

It should be pretty easy to do though, just a couple of small changes to an LCD driver, the LED displays use serial (RS-232) and so do some LCD's / VFD's so its dooable.

I thought the same thing, but around where I live I don't think I'd have to much trouble. Besides, if they took it, they wouldn't be able to figure it out, and i've got a spare. I was also thinking of the advertisement thing. I need some cash bad. I figured the id3 info combined with an ad everynow and then would get their attention.

actually, didn't some guy invent something like that? you press a button and it says thanks when someone lets you over or it lets you flick someone off like DodgeCummins said. i think they're selling them in australia or great britain, i'm not sure which.....
