Is it worth it...(I NEED FEEDBACK)

I'm in the last stages of my carpc. I've gotten the hardware, software and wiring to a point of about 96% completion. Then something happend. After searching long and hard I found someone that makes cables and software for datalogging with my car. It's pricey though because it's hybrid OBDI and OBDII and the guy who's written the software and designed the cable is the only one who's figured it out. The catch is the software will only work with PDA's. The bigger catch is the total package would cost me $250 and that's not including a pda which I could probably get pretty cheap($50 or less). I don't want to tune anything, but I would like to know what's going on with my car and this would give me all that and more. The thing is at 300 bux this would almost double the amount I've spent on my carpc so far. I've talked myself out of it and into about 10 times today and think I just need to hear others opinions.

depends on what the software can do. compare it to the features of ODB scantools you can buy for your car.

You missed something. This is the ONLY thing I can buy for my car. There is NO other product out there for my vehicle.

I'm not sure what exactly his product does that others dont... www.scantool.net says most mitsu products use the ISO protocol for OBDII, I would look at the pinout on your obdII port and see which one it matches with and I'm sure that the elmscan tool would work, at a much cheaper price
