There was a IRC channel on EFnet I believe. I haven't been on IRC for a while though so it maybe a different server. The channel was #mp3car

There may be some java irc chats that mp3car could add to a page so you don't need to have mirc (or whatever you use), and so you don't have to learn how it works, and just chat!
On second thought, mp3car has the same hosts me, and cpanel has a java chat built in (idk anything about it, but it's worth a try).
