I would use AudioGnome, Gnutella, CuteMX, or Freenet. Many options. They can't take it all down![]()
You guys hear about napsters offer to pay the record companies $1B over 5 years? They reckon they are going to make it up through their subscriptions when they shut down their free service. How many of you use napster and would still use it if it was $5 a month?

Napster thinks that 3.3 million people are willing to pay $5 per month for the next 5 years? And that's just to pay off the extortion by the record companies.

Works so well I feel like setting up my own napigator server!

I dont think anyone would pay? cutemx and scour are the only ones I use but there dead so back to irc ftp's and newsgroups.
I wouldn't be against paying for Napster if it was the only service. However, since there are a bunch of other ways to get MP3s I don't see the point of paying...

I forgot to mention that iMesh is still up and running. I have downloaded quite a few movies with iMesh and Gnucleus (a very good Gnutella client).

another napster.

This one lets you choose out of all songs previously avaliable. Then when the song becomes avaliable it downloads the song. Works great with a high speed/LAN connection.
