I have an opportunity to possibly work in another country for 3 years (promotion), but I would have a company car or lease vehicle. I don't think that I will be able to mod it. My question is: Would you be able to live without modding your vehicle and with no satellite radio for three years? I know this might sound stupid to some people, but the carpc is really a major deciding factor on me taking the job![]()
This is one of my favorite hobbies, so it's like taking a pro bass fisherman and putting him in the middle of an African desert for three years.

go on fit it to your new car, buy a spare bezel and dont go drilling holes all over the place, it will take you a day to return it to stock and all you will leave behind are the wires under the carpets !!!
if it makes sense take the oppurtunity and do it 1!!!

It's really easy to return a car to stock after removing and audio system or carputer. If you really want to go then DO IT!

Thanks guys,
I thought about it all day at work and you're right. This is a good opportunity, so I won't let the carpc thing hold me back. As far as pay, they don't really pay you any more, but you get amenities like a free place to stay and a car to drive for three years. The real problem is that I would basically be working all the time and even when I am off, I would be on call like a doctor. So modding the car would not be the problem, finding the time would be the hardest part. The real benefit is that usually when people return from assignments like this they have a ton of experience and then they usually get a pretty fat raise. Money is not everything though.
You can and most probably WILL mod the rental vehicle with ease... take the job and experience and don't think twice. Opportunity is knocking... can't let that get away IMO... then again, what do I know?! lol Good luck!
