umm, that's two words.
One word: Trailier parties.
For the scion at least, but the impala? The only reason to do that is because you want to be shot in the head for being stupid.

an old impala is a mod worthy car, just if that money was invested in the engine

I admire the uh, determination, or whatever. But, the install looks like crap, not to mention the 450 speakers on the door. And go figure, it's a 70's impala, not even a really good year. Too much money, not enough brains. There is absolutly no way you can sit in the front seat and watch that.
But that Scion is cool, because you could pull up to an outdoors party and play some kick *** music videos and stuff for everyone to see, not to mention i'm sure the stereo is llllloooud. At least with the scion, you could see the screen (the way it was meant to be at least, this is obviously a car for shows/parties) without getting vertigo.
In NYC, there are always suped up Tahoes and Durangos all over (usually outside clubs) promoting Album releases. They usually have plasmas in all of the back windows. Looks pretty good coming through the tinted out windows with promotional window decals. Of course, thats a company paying.
Anyone notice the homies walking beside it. There all saying, "Man, I want one to".
