well...to break the chain of people not promoting their own cars as suitable...

go with a slightly rusting 1986 Volvo 740 GLE Gray, tan pleather interior.

Benefits for CarPC: Decent room behind stereo unit (with the exception of HD, my whole unit is in there), sound quality for stock is great, The alternator is huge, all around pimp.
I hope the mods don't realize I can still post.

I personally would love to have a BMW 3-series. Im not a huge fan of the new 3-series, so I would say something like an 03-04 3 series. Preferably an M . Then, utilize the I-Bus controls and you have yourself a very integrated car-computer. Plus, it wouldnt be all show and no go.

Well, you could also get yourself a nice BMW 850CSi, but the maintenece will kill you (two of everything = twice the cost for maintenence).

Get a Pinzgauer and really turn heads...

    Get an SUV like this:

    http://i21.ebayimg.com/03/i/03/09/40/4c_12_sb.JPG

and really P.I.M.P. it out. Lots of room for hardware (and friends). It's reasonably priced and if done up with some sweet fiberglass body panels, could really make a Hummer look kinda lame.

I have a feeling the Gas mileage probably isn't the greatest (unless it's Diesel).

    Good luck, and have fun!
DashPC - The Linux Car (since 1999).

Dash LCD, Via Epia, GPS, XM, OBDII, DSSC Shutdown Controller.

As seen in the book Geek My Ride
