    I'd go for a Subaru Legacy or Impreza, of course I'm biassed as I own a Legacy
    You would be able to run the DeltaDash ECU monitoring/programming software.
    The other reason to go for the Legacy it looks and is specced similar to cars 3 times it's price. I regularly get accused of owning a BMW 3-series or an Audi or a Lexus. A highly functional car computer built for half the price of an OEM car computer, or Pioneer cd/mp3/dvd/satnav head unit seems like a perfect complement to this vehicle. There is also tons of space behind the dash, mine has a triple DIN (though official UK ones dont, YMMV)

    Mini cooper, Scion xA and replace the hatch door with a 50 or 60 in plasma so the guy behind you can share whatever on your screen.

    Seriously get the car you want and build the PC around it.

    Buying car for performance and look is one thing. But reliability and maintaince cost is another thing.
    Why/How Toyota is moving up to the 2nd spot after GM with only 2 maybe 3 brands?
    Reliability = lower maintaince cost.
    and no one beat Toyota on reliability.
    At the end of the day, its your car to drive, so buy whatever you like.
    If you are single, get one that help you "get laid"
    If you are married, get a station wagon, Van, SUV.

    There is also the safety factor of buying a car. Safety is still growing in importance - especially in America. The Euro NCAP ratings are now near the top of any car manufacturers sales brochures over here and it is especially important on small and medium family cars as small cars feel less safe due to their size but modern ones such as the renault clio are much safter than something big and old like a 90's C-class merc. The difference between the new and old renault espace is huge. The did a test with the latest espace crashing into the 1st model and at 30mph the driver in the old one would have died but the airbags didn't even go off in the new one as the car didn't even sense the need for them. if i was choosing a car for my family safetly would be top of my list. Safety is also one of my reasons for wanting a new car - i am about to do lots of mileage on the M5 over the next few years and don't want to get squashed in a pile-up. Audi is now testing the new A3 against Scania trucks in head on tests as Germans are increasingly scared of tired truck drivers straying over the white lines.

    While I wholeheartedly agree, I am torn as to whether or not to buy one of those for my next project, or one of these:

    Oh god! It's Eleanor! That and the GT40 are just very close to the top of my 'want one' list.

    Enforcer: that would be the car i would spend 80K on (i think that is what they quoted). It has a lush interior too. If i had the money it would have to be the Vanquish S or DB9 though.
