speaking of frontends, I'm wondering something:

do they make a front end that just lets me make additional things? point to a file to activate, give it a name and a screenshot or something?

I'm asking because I have a lot of freeware games and I'd like to rig up an arcadePC with such a front end.
softmodded xbox, PSOne screen, inverter. simple and effective. Combine with PDA and head unit with aux input, and we're having a wonderful time.

I have emulators installed for every game system up to N64. Nintendo,Super Nintendo, Neo Geo, Sega, Sega Masters System, and i know im forgetting something. Ohh, Atari too! Those all run very smoothly, and I control them with an x-box controller I hacked with a usb end.

if you want one of the best fps gams for comp of all time, get halflife1 it runs on systems as low as 300Mhz, and it is a great friggin game

I say get MAME and roms..( I have a full size MAMe machine and love those classic games and the newer ones like NBA jam) Emulators for all the old school stuff liKe NES and sega..

These don't need lots of CPU power.. IF you have more CPU power like a full ATX system... or a fast Pentium M system..

Get all the above and the super Nes emulators and PS1 emulator and what ever PC games you like.. Other than that if you got room get a ps2 and a xbox and a N64 and your set Heck pick up a PSP while your at it for cool factor
