If its visible and they get the opportunity, Im sure theyd try. Security is a must... Tinted windows are a start, an alarm helps tenfold. At the very least tint the windows well and get a sticker pretending you have an alarm.![]()
Im planning to put a laptop/touchscreen into my car, Im debating weather to try get hold of the fold away screen or just make a dash mould. Problem is my radio slot right at the top of the dash and there isnt really any other place to mount it, meaning its always gonna be right on display. If it was fold away i would use the crappy radio facia trick to put theifs off
Has anybody from the UK had people breaking in to try get their screens or do most theives just leave it as it looks too fixed in.
Thanks

Caitlin had everything but her screen stolen (she removed it) when in scummy nottingham.
cnuts
I've built a removable surround, so the screen will come out with me, leaving a screen sized socket in the dask with **** THE **** OFF written in it in blood.
Also, i'm alarming it (again)

1 - if i do it myself, it'll probably go off every couple of minutes!
2 - anyone know\reccomend someone who'll travel to either Peterborough or Scarborough (UK) to fit it properly?![]()
One problem with tinting in the UK is that only the rear windows are allowed to be tinted greater than 30%. I should imagine though that if the screen is well moulded in, the hoodies won't bother and twok your polo's and spare change from the glovebox instead.
