    Beware of ebay seller nightriderweb*com

watch out for nightriderweb*com on ebay, he sells carputers. He took over 2 weeks for him just to ship it. Also it came in awful condition, and there was no pre loaded operating system like he said. The he left me a retalitory feedback, so buyer beware.

He also is in bad standing here at MP3car.com, if I'm not mistaken. He's burned other people as well and allegedly hacked the MP3car.com site or database.
I don't know the details, and it's only alleged.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

    Just flippin great!

I haven't gotten my machine from him yet... and another auction from tim5cuw just offered a 2nd chance on the 1.7ghz HP ePC 128/20 for $250. Perhaps I should get that and write off the other machine.

That guy is a ****in rimjob, do not by from him. His auctions for e-PCs are also very misleading, he makes no mention that you need to get an inverter to run it in the car. His whole hook is the fact that you can use it in the car, but no mention of how to power it?

For real! One time (very early in my ebay career) i sent something USPS and didnt get a TN for it (or lost it). Paypal straight JACKED me for whatever the auction was worth. Thank god the package came back to me and i re-listed and sold it. But yea, paypal is all about buyer's rights.

FYI - I have definetly learned my lesson and have a tracking number for EVERYTHING I send now, even stuff i ship on the from the forums here.

yeah, the computer wasn't that bad, i spent two hours and since i have the windows XP disc i got it up and running well, so i won't return it after that and how long a spent waiting for it, unlike others though i knew i was just buying a computer so i wasn't disappointed in that aspect, i already have an inverter and know i still have to buy other stuff, but for someone with no experience with cars and stuff the listing in misleading
