I think it is great you guys have put books together.

The forums are great, but they don't always contain a good logical process of putting things together. It is more like trying to follow the conversation of an autistic and schizophrenic

At least now when someone starts quizing me I can point them in the direction of the books.

Yup, add one more to the list of book authors. I have articles in there related to GPS, logging GPS data, and then publishing that data.

Also regarding why not just have the forums? Well has been mentioned, we will probably have lots more people interested after the book comes out because there are probably many that will hear about the book who do not know where to go yet.

In fact, there may be many out there that have not even thought about car pc projects that may start after seeing the book on a shelf.

    But then, its all speculation.

I thought that's an extract from 'Geek your ride' not 'Car PC hacks' - I could be wrong though.

I checked out the Geek My Ride book. In my opinion anyone that spends a day or two surfing this site can get the same knowledge. I've been coming here for a year or so and i bought the book thinking it would help me with the more technical stuff and it doesn't.

The book talks about using inverters for everything and as I've read here that is not the best way to go.
