how handy would it be to have that database in your car!!!!!
this is getting bookmarked! Will help with house hunting. nice one.
Sorry guys, had to post here - it won't let me post in GPS - forums throwing a wobbly again.
http://local.google.co.uk/
Type in a POI and Postcode and it will display them on a map - I wish my mapping data was as concise as this. It has all local street names and everything, I even like the 'bubbly' look.

I'd lvoe to just have the map data! I wish I could get hold of those maps - any ideas anyone? Does any available PC based GPS System use them does anyone know?
I've just added it to the incar shortcuts to try later and to see if it is viable for use in-car for those few times my POIs just don't hack it.
they must be the fastest scrolling maps i have seen too.
Yeah I know, they must be on one hell of a powerful cluster of servers
or jsut decent programing unlike some maps i have seen..
.....cough cough multimap cough cough
That's really cool.

Just looked up about the cost of NavTeq data - fell off the seat ... £60,000 for ONE license! I'll stick with my destinator maps I think!
