About being kicked out of college, some (if not most) colleges/univerisites will kick you out if you are convicted of any crime or anything like that... so if he were to get jail time (extreme example) he would be kicked out...

anything going on your record is grounds for expulsion in many colleges....

if this is your first speeding ticket hope for PBJ (probation before judgement). I don't know what your state does but that's what you usually get on the first offense.

I made one of those stupid mistakes once. Or maybe I was just being dumb... Yeah. Anyways, I was on my way to work on a long back road that has a limit of 40 or 45. Its very easy to speed on this road and the turns are very long and even has a few passing zones both ways. Well I was running a little behind and was passing people here and there maintaining a speed of about 55 or so.. Till I came up to 4 cars (or was it 3?) ahead of me going about 45. I waited till we came around one of those long bends and could see well ahead and knew there was no traffic coming so I dropped it into 2nd and took off. Weeeee... Passed the lead car (and the other 3) w/ my blinker on and plenty of room and still no opposing traffic and slowed (yes slowed) down to that 55 I was doing. Next thing I know I see blinking lights and hear a siren behind me. Turns out it was an unmarked cop car. Oops. I pulled over w/ a feeling of dread and figured my car was probably going to be impounded and I'd be in handcuffs and miss work and some other fun stuff. He verbally scared the **** out of me giving me the assumption I was getting a ticket for a little while then gave me back my license and told me to stop being stupid and go on my way. He had asked if I had any idead how fast I was going and I said no - boy did that make him mad! He said I coulda at least said sorry etc give him a story but how could I have no idea - I cut in and explained I meant I didn't know the actual speed as I wasn't looking at the speedometer and that I was being stupid etc etc. Which was true, I was being stupid and I didn't know how fast I was going. So he said he was doing 45 which is the limit and I "blew by him like he was in reverse" . I wouldn't be supprised if I was doing 90.

So yes I don't have anything against cops, I SHOULD have gotten that ticket, and I have to admit to this day I don't drive anywhere near as recklessly as that. And no, I doubt a radar detector would have helped

I wish i had my Escort 8500 and laser jammers on my motorcycle too.
I have court in about 3 weeks. They got me for 119 in a 55. He was using K band radar and i know if i had the radar detector i would have picked him up and slowed down.
Not sure whats going to happen to me.

I don't think he had any idea about how fast you were going because I doubt he had time to clock you on his radar. I'm sure that is why you didn't get the ticket. Lucky lucky!

Drive the SC more often. Less chance of you getting a speeding ticket
