Well, we all know that there are hitches when running these computers; always some weird quirk. But the general objective is to make a system that works flawlessly. With that you can add a friendly frontend and you have a system that all users can appreciated and use.
Things are relatively stable in regards to problems; I would install for friends or family without a problem. Once you have experience in installing you know what to do to erase any problems before they pop up

It's not a slam dunk. If I'd paid twice as much for my install and it crapped out as much as it does, I'd be ****ed. But I didn't. And I have only myself to blame when it ****s the bed.

Couldn't agree more. That's why most choose to deal car pc parts.

Its not like we're running Windows 95 here
The NT platform is incredibly stable. Ive never had any software problem with my carputer; the only problems have been wiring and EMI

Agreed. I used *nix alot back in the 95/98/ME days, as it really was the more stable and less buggy platform. However, now that 2000/XP are out with all the major issues addressed via service packs, etc. it really is a solid platform. I have no issues running XP on my carputer.
