    Well its running!

Tonight I installed 4 gauge wire into my trunk and hooked up a 750W inverter. My system is as follows

    Silverstone Media PC Case
    15" LCD monitor
    AMD Athlon 1800
    256mb Ram
    40gb notebook drive
    DVD/ CDRW combo notebook drive
    Onboard audio and video
    PCI 802.11g wireless

I'm going with a large screen because I use the system both for work and play. At work I'm a mobile tech and need GPS and entertainment while sitting around waiting. For play I do SkyWarn so this will be nice for weather tracking and GPS.

Anyway, the system isnt fully installed. In fact most of it is just sitting in the car . I have lots and LOTS of work left to do!

Sounds nice. What are you doing about mounting the screen, since it's a 15 inch? Gooseneck or something? How about input while on the move, since I'm assuming it's not exactly a touch screen?

You'll have to get some pics up when you're done! And maybe get an OPUS one of these days.

For input I'm wireless keyboard and tracball. As far as mounting the screen goes, I'm not sure yet. I'm thinking of using a gooseneck but I need to make sure that it wont get in the passengers way first. I have some other ideas for a mount going through my head. I'd like to have a quick release mount so that I can take it in the house at night.

I've wanted to do this for years now and I finally have it in my car!!!
