    Hey a while back i used the 2nd diagram for my pioneer deh4150 head unit and i found it very quiet too. How can i make it so it isnt as quiet.

    goodstuff cleared my orig question up anyway think mine worked best with the second diagram first one was quiet. I got 4300r modal

    What if I wanted to use the controls? How do I use the Decks controls? Anyone know which pin outs are controlled by the front deck?

    for that, you would need to hack the ip-bus protocol, I haven't found it yet.

    If you do find something, please post. I'm interested in adding extra input controls from the radio to my software.

    I'm going to mess with it, see what I could find. I'll keep you guys updated, I guess.

    That is an even deeper discussion that I think was also on this site.

    The easy answer is no.

    However if you have an ocilloscope and some other equipment that you can scan the serial bus of the Pioneer to decipher and record 7 bit words...go right ahead.

    In fact, the display gets its info off the same bus, so you could theoretically send computer messages to the HU for display...has not been accomplished yet as far as I know.

    Does anyone still have the first diagram availible. I bought the cable from pioneer but I'de figure i'de give it a shot before I get the original one. If it works then I'll justt return it and save my self the $35
