Help with finding a connector needed

I desperately need some help with finding a connector. I've searched everywhere I can think of with no result.

I know some of you guys are experts in this are so I'd really appreciate some help.

I'm using an IBM Thinkcentre S50 for my car PC and need to locate the Front Panel Connector that connects to the system board. It is an 8 pin in line connector that connects the board to the front panel power switch and status LEDs.

There are no markings on it.

Also, from reading the Opus manual there are 2 wires to connect the 150 DC-DC PSU I have, suggesting that an ATX board has 2 wires from the front panel switch. Mine has 4: 2 normally open pairs. Anyone know how to connect this?

    All help appreciated.

Thanks for that - guess I didn't make myself clear. I need to buy a connector like that and can't find where to get one.

    Any ideas?

There's a link for 'Purchase service parts online' right under the diagram, you probably need to dig through that a bit to find it.

Thanks. I'd already been through that. They want £100 ($180) for the plug, cable LED and swith assembly!

I just want the plug so I can make up a new lead to put the LEDs on my dash and connect to the Opus PSU.

Where can I get the plug? It must be available somewhere.

I'd rather not 'butcher' the original so I can keep the PC as standard for when I'm done with it as a Car PC.

    You dont need THAT connector
Just connect to the pins you need. Should be easy using internal sound cables

Heres what I did with internal sound cables connecting to pins on my M10000
