    Panasonic Slim Line Wire From Dash To Boot?

    I WANT THE DVD DRIVE IN DASH BUT me pc will be in the boot!

    can i just use a cd to ide adapter then a long ide cable?

    or do i need get ide to usb adapter then extend it using usb cable?

    IDE to USB. IDE cables can't be more than about 18 inches long. USB can be much longer.

    most ide-usb converters seem to need a seperate power supply. What is the easiest way to cope with this?

    Figure out what voltage range they work from (usually 12V) and get a voltage regulator to match.

    it solved my distance problem.
