    Post Answer quick! ATI XPERT 98 8MB PCI Video Card

    Heya

    I need a video card, and was gonna shoot for the ATI XPERT 98 8MB PCI. I do not need all the junk packed into the All-In-Wonder, and just need TV out and DVD acell, so I thought this would work fine.

    Will it? Is it ok?

    If so, kewl, I'll buy it, and after that, is anyone in the market for a Dxr 3 DVD hardware card?

    I used this card in the MP3 Cavalier. It worked fine, but I eventually moved to the AIW just because I had one.. Card is the same, just no TV in and it only has a RCA jack for TV out instead of a breakaway cable with SVideo etc etc, but who cares.

    DVDs play fine on it, but it still can really depend on your system in general.

    Well that works.. It's a K6-II 350 w/64 megs... More then enough to handle it with a good video card.. I was thinking about ditching my head unit totally and going with an All-In-Wonder, but, I remembered that it didn't have an FM tuner, just TV.. Guess it's not so All-In-Wonderious..

    If you ditch your head unit what will you use as an amp?

    Check the URL in my Sig..

    Sound System Information
    Head Unit/EQ;
    • Aiwa CDC-MP3 - Hoping to upgrade to Kenwoods.
    • Pioneer DEQ-9200

    Amps;
    • Rockford Fosgate 500a2 for sub
    • Rockford Fosgate 600.4 for front/rear

    Speakers;
    • Rockford Fosgate 12" HX2 RFD1212 (Sub)
    • Rockford Fosgate 6-3/4" fanatic X Components FNX2614 (Rear Set)
    • Rockford Fosgate 5-1/4" fanatic X Components FNX2514 (Front Set)

    Would go like this;

    Computer Lineouts -> DEQ-9200 -> Sub and 4 chan amps -> All speakers...

    I'll be hooking the comp up to the DEQ anyway with a splitter, so it's nothing big.. Only prob is I'd need an FM tuner..
