I hate it when.......

I get this puter, it hangs on boot up constantly. Reboot and it hangs, go into safe mode and it works fine. AH HA a driver issue you say. Yup thats what I figure. So to save time I start windows with Boot Logging enabled and guess what? The thing starts up and loads into windows no problem at all.

Turn the thing off and it loads up fine a couple of times then Wham starts hanging up during windows boot. Start the machine with boot logging enables and the stinkin thing just loads up fine.

There is something in that machine that does not want to be found. It knows when it is being watched and goes into hiding.

I have come to the conclusion that it is POSSESSED!

P.S. this is all new stuff, latest drivers all updates and the like. I'll figure it out, just did not want to uninstall a gazillion things just to do so.

You get this Xenarc P4 puter bare bones and it comes with a manual exactly 2 pages long. There is a manual PDF on the driver disk for the MOBO and its the same 2 page document.

All for a mere $289.00

P.S. this is the same machine that is Possessed.

How are you powering the machine?
also did it come with a new hard drive or are you using one that you had?

yeah welcome to windows. no manual for any piece of computer hardware I've owned, no matter how good, has ever been any help with problems like that. get used to it, just format and reinstall windows, over time it will become second nature to you.

The hard drive is a brand new toshiba 100 gig notebook HD.

When powering it up I press the ON button or use the keyboard hot key, it does not care which, it will hang during the little blue bars across the monitor under the XP logo splash screen. It will do it time and time again. But the second I use the boot logging startup procedure the thing will boot into XP normally with no problem. So the boot log always shows everything is just peachy. GRRRRRRRRRRRR.
