from your pictures the 8 inch has less "wasted" space with buttons and such, and more "screen"...
I recommend the 8inch if you can have it fit. Plus, 800x600 is nice to have...
I am trying to decide what LCD size I should buy for my 96 Ford T-bird carPC, Lilliput 7'' or Lilliput 8'', and I need your advice.
Below are two images of my dashboard with 7'' and 8'' LCD (done in Photoshop). Click link below picture to enlarge.

1) Which install you think would be better?? What is your recommendation ??
2) Are there any differences in picture quality between those two LCDs ??
3) What is native resolution of 8'' Lilliput at mp3car store?? I read somewhere that there are two kinds of 8'' LCD panels installed inside Lilliput. One with native resolution 640x480(Sharp?) and the other one with 800x600(?).
Is that true and if so how do I know which one I am buying??
4) From your experience is 7'' good enough for GPS ,DVD or email reading?
Thank you for your response.

Thank you, 8'' IT IS. I asked since most of you people have 7''. I thought it could be to big or to bright at night; beside that most people are not able to fit 8'' in their cars.
What about that native resolution of 8'' Lilliput ???
Is it 640x480 or 800x600 ? Mp3car store doesn't provide that information. :/
