What's the most popular/best frontend software?

Now that I finally have my hardware picked out, I can start on the software side of things. I have browsed through the software forums, but there is just too much choice!

    Which frontend is predominantly used?

either check peoples sigs or have a look at how many threads are in each softwares sub forum.

But in my opinon current top 3 are: Centrafuse, Frodo player and Road runner (in no particular order)

Don't select a frontend because everyone else uses it. That would make you a mindless lemming.
Download all the frontends and try them out yourself. Add skins. Play with the options. Experiment. THEN make a choice on which frontend to use because it's the one you prefer.
You'll be a lot happier that way.

Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

i agree, check them all out

i found neo media car and frodo strong options

i love how centrafuse manages the music/play queue. he's developing that program to be as flexibile as frodo's is for external application support.

that being said, frodoplayer's strengths lie in flexibility and his innovation in developing a fe that caters to ALL the functions a user might want. I think his is a good choice too, i just dont like the media configuration 100%, and i just use gps on my setup, so centrafuse works awesome for me!

I like roadrunner because it handles my navigation program nicely where centrafuse barfed on it (Infomap Navigator).
