    Add backseat entertainment to carpc

    Hi.
I have been thinking about adding 2 screens in the back of my car and connect these to my carputer. I will also place 1 or 2 external DVD drives back there.
The main use for this will be to show DVD movies, but also I recently discovered that I can take my Playstation One Games and play them in the dvd drive with an emulator on my pc, and a playstation controller to the usb.

What I need some help with is how powerfull my carpc would need to be to handle this in addition to my regular GPS/Audio in the front screen.
The ultimate sollution would be to be able to show different picture and different audio on each screen. That way the two passengers can show what DVD they want and play what Game they want.
I know this may be to much, so I will be satisfied with just a dual screen of the same image, but I would really like to run different picture on each screen.
Also I want the backseat screens to be tv-lcd's. this way they will be much cheaper.

    Thanks!

You can't show different things on the back screens, straight from the pc, as they both have the same input. But you can have different things on the VGA screen and the back screens. Only make sure the graphics on the mobo support this, as in my case with an Epia, you can't...

You can add a PCI graphics card for dual monitor support. Problem is that VIA systems probably aren't powerful enough to run a PS1 emu.

The PS1 emulator I mean to use is the ePSXe emulator. The help file shows these prefered system confugiration:

    Pentium II 500 or faster
    256 MB of RAM
A fast DirectX or Opengl compatible graphic card, e.g. the NVidia GeForce 2
Fast CD-ROM with good access times
    Windows 2000 or XP
    DirectX 8

This is not very much at all, but I expect that when running this in addition to GPS/Audio, the requirements for the system goes up a bit. Also, one thing I'd like to know is if someone know how I can get 2 or 3 separate audio outputs from the carputer, so that the people in the backseat can put on some headhones and get relevant audio for the dvd they are watching for example

The VIA graphics are nowere near a Geforce2.
