Please help - dvd only plays audio no video

    Hi everyone,

    I'm stump. I have a epia m10k with 40gb hard drive, 256mb of ram, and a dvd-rom.

I installed windows and NVDVD 2.0 (Nvidia's dvd player). Now when I pop in a dvd, it loads up and plays but the video does not show up. It's just a black screen, the playlist shows the titles of the dvd and the audio plays fine...

I also tried playing mpeg and divx files on the dvd-rom and it works. When when I put in a dvd movie, it wont show picture.

I can't figure it out... Can you please help. I've been stuck on this for hours...

    Thanks.

Sounds like you're missing a crucial CODEC...
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

Get yourself a copy of Cyberlink PowerDVD and all will be fixed. I used to run NVDVD. One of the buggiest DVD software out there. I even like WinDVD better.

    Peace,
